 The goal of the Spotlight 2025: Center Stage for Discover is to raise $2,700,000 in support of the upgrade and renovation of our auditorium into a state-of-the-art theater and thoughtfully increase access and use of the outdoor spaces on our beautiful 90-acre campus. 

 Construction began June 2025 with the support of Howard Shockey & Sons, Inc. It is our hope that construction will be complete early Spring 2026 and we will be able to return to the new and upgraded space before the end of the school year. 

 We are asking all community members to join us in supporting this vital project. Capital Campaigns allow us to grow as a school and require additional funds above and beyond our tuition and Annual Fund. It requires the support of our whole community to raise the much needed funds to make this project possible. Current families, alumni families, grandparents, faculty and staff, and community members have all made contributions to help us reach 80% of our fundraising goal. We ask everyone to consider a meaningful contribution to this campaign.  

 Yes! You can make a pledge over the course of one to five years of time. This allows families to consider stretch gifts with flexibility in mind. Please reach out to our Advancement Office for more details regarding pledges at advancement@powhatanschool.org.  

 A meaningful contribution is different for each and every family. We have had families consider gifts anywhere in the range of $25 to $500,000. Each gift is impactful and helps us reach our significant goal of $2,700,000. 

 Yes. Gifts made to the Spotlight 2025: Center Stage for Discovery Campaign are tax deductible. Powhatan School is a 501(c)3 non profit organization 

Yes! Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple your contribution. Check with your HR department to see if your company participates. If eligible, follow your employer’s process to submit the match—your generosity could go even further in supporting our campaign.
